About the Urban Harvest Garden

Urban Harvest Garden

In February of 2011, The Urban League of Portland established the Urban Harvest Garden on a blighted plot in Northeast Portland. The Urban Harvest Garden is a partnership between the Urban League of Portland and the African Women’s Coalition (AWC) that provides the African and African American community with urban gardening space.  The project has involved over 100 community members in over 400 hours of volunteer service that has been applied to developing our garden space, community education, and mobilization of neighborhood engagement.

Families looking for an opportunity to garden and have access to fresh, local vegetables can apply here.   Questions? Contact Zeenia Junkeer at 503-280-2600 ext.641 for more information.
