Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence-based practice designed to provide comprehensive treatment and support services to individuals who are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. ACT services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and involve a variety of community-based outreach strategies with the goal to maximize independence and community integration for the individuals served.
Education: The incumbent must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university or three years of full time professional experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
The CADC credential is also required.
Experience: Equivalent combination of education/experience preferably in a non-profit organization preferred.

Possess a valid driver’s license, three year driving history; clean driving record, ability to pass Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) check and complete the Cascadia online Defensive Driving course.
This is a full time position, Monday – Friday, day time hours. The position is located in one of our clinic in Milwaukie.Compensation: Minimum $16.35/hr. + DOE.
The Addictions Counselor works as a member of the interdisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT), and supports a shared caseload of adults with severe mental illnesses and addiction issues in providing and coordinating a wide range of supportive and therapeutic behavioral health services, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required the incumbent understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects in the lives of those we serve. This position collaborates with internal and external resources to assure the best possible treatment for clients. This position is responsible for identifying and prioritizing service plan goals and identifying resources to meet those goals. The Addictions Counselor, ACT position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client centered approach in assisting clients achieve individual goals.
