This program is at a Secure Residential Treatment Facility located in SE Portland that serves adults with a severe and persistent mental illness. This facility serves both men and women. Staff provide services such as: mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan development; monitoring and management of psychotropic medications; development of behavioral programs; establishment of a therapeutic milieu; group and individual skills training; consultation to other agencies/providers serving residents. While a secure environment will be maintained, the facility will be residential in nature and as home like as possible. The staffing in this program include a combination of on-site Qualified Mental Health Professionals, Qualified Mental Health Associates and other positions sufficient to meet the security, behavioral, recreational, and mental health needs of the residents, as identified in their service plans, on a 24-hour basis.
There are many employment opportunities and the schedules vary. Shifts available are Days, Swings and Overnights.Compensation:$13.09/hr. + for entry level DOE; $ 16.35/hr. + for QMHA (Shift differentials apply in addition for swing and overnight shifts)
Under close supervision, the Secure Residential Treatment Specialist II works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents within the residential facility. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting.
The Secure Residential Treatment Specialist I is an entry level position and requires a High School Diploma or GED. The Secure Residential Treatment Specialist II position requires a QMHA credential (Qualified Mental Health Associate-Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field or 3 years adult mental health experience). Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred. This position requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and must be able to pass a Department of Motor Vehicles check.
