The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directing and overseeing the City of Portland’s comprehensive, Citywide financial management, long-term financial planning, financial reporting, and revenue and tax collection activities.  The CFO has the dual role of leading the Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services and of providing Citywide leadership for long-term financial planning and financial sustainability activities on behalf of the City Council.  As the leader of the Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services (BRFS), the incumbent organizes, manages and directs the centralized financial services provided to all City bureaus.
