This position works within the Operations Division to provide business office services.  The position monitors and submits financial transactions by maintaining internal controls for account management.  The division is responsible to determine solutions to problems by conducting data analysis to ensure fiscal responsibility integrity and allocation of charges to the appropriate accounting line coding, while maintaining agency financial records according to the appropriate accounting stage.

This position requires critical attention to detail and understanding of Oregon’s government funding structure and budget process.  Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for reviewing documents and reconcile discrepancies, manage inventory and assigned assets, drafts and assembles budget documents, and has the ability to establish, organize and maintain receivables and payables.  The incumbent must be able to support professional staff, such as accountants, managers, and analysts.

This position requires training in and knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, financial reporting, projections, and agency budgets.  Given the range of skills required for this position, bookkeeping and/or accountant training is preferred.
