Family Solutions

Family Solutions is a non-profit community mental health agency in Vancouver, WA that provides outpatient, school-based, and community-based mental health services to children and families in SW Washington.

We are currently seeking clinicians to work in our outpatient clinic as well as in our school-based program.

The ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field, plus two years of experience (including clinical internship and practicum experience) working with children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families. Ideal candidates for our school-based positions will possess a passion for collaborating with and working within the school system. Clinical experience working with young children preferred for the OP position.  Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus.

Position Description:
Demonstrate knowledge of child development, and the impact of trauma on children and families.
Conduct initial client intake assessments and develop treatment plans based on diagnosis, client needs and client voice.
Develop recovery goals with client, measurable outcomes, and implement interventions to achieve those goals and assess ongoing progress in treatment.
Provide individual, family and group therapy to clients and their families. – Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams to meet clients’ needs.
Engage in clinical supervision provided at agency.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to meet workflow deadlines.
Maintain client confidentiality and all standards of ethical behavior.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

Qualification Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field which qualifies the candidate to be a licensed clinical social worker, licensed mental health counselor, or licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of Washington.  .
A minimum of one (1) year full-time experience in mental health treatment of children and families.
Washington Department of Health certification as an Agency-Affiliated Counselor, or able to meet criteria for such certification or similar; or WA licensure in Social Work or a related field.
Training and experience in the use of Evidence-Based Practice Models; i.e. CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, CPRT, etc.
Experience treating trauma in children and adolescents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Outlook).
Ability to function both independently and as a strong team member.
Experience with IEPs and 504 Plans helpful for school-based positions
Must pass a criminal background check.
Reliable transportation needed for community based positions.

Pay Range: Depends upon Experience.
