Family Solutions

Join our team of dedicated professionals in a supportive, mission-focused environment providing quality mental health services to children and families. Family Solutions is a non-profit community mental health agency in Vancouver, WA that provides outpatient, school-based, and community-based mental health services to children and families in SW Washington.  Family Solutions is primarily funded by Medicaid.

We are currently seeking a talented and seasoned individual who would be responsible for overseeing the overall financial health of the organization and participate as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.  The Finance Director manages all financial functions including accounting, medical billing, payroll, financial operations, reporting, budgeting, banking, insurance coverage, and fiscal legal requirements of the organization.

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of three years of non-profit accounting experience, preferably in a social services or healthcare field.
Prior auditing and payroll management experience, CPA preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

Responsibilities of the Finance Director include (but are not limited to)

Demonstrates a commitment to the agency’s vision, mission, and values.
Trains and supervises finance/billing staff and IS staff.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the agency’s financial partners, including financial institutions, funders/payers, potential donors, auditors, and governmental agencies.
Collaborates with the Executive Director, Executive Leadership Team, Supervisors/Program Managers, and the Board of Directors to develop annual budgets for the agency.
Identifies and evaluates opportunities for improved financial operations, recordkeeping and reporting.
Establishes and implements policies and procedures for all financial management functions, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP).
Maintains systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Executive Director, Executive Leadership Team, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
Ensures successful completion of annual audits, IRS filings, and all other mandated financial reports.

Pay Range: Depends upon Experience.
