Jama’s Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive reporting structure that provides accurate and timely information to users readily and easily; in collaboration with functional business owners, perform cyclical planning and reporting for budget, reforecast and business development purposes; provide Board-level and Executive Team level reporting; and provide ad hoc reporting and user training on reporting and planning tools. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the role will work closely with Senior Leadership and Managers throughout the organization to develop and distribute performance measurement metrics, key performance indicators and information to help drive decisions that impact how we accomplish our business objectives.

This position is ideal for a data and tech-savvy finance professional that is adept at understanding business functions, identifying and applying financial drivers, developing performance metrics and using technological tools to provide information to those who need it.


What you’ll get to do

Develop complex financial models and present analytics to support financial and operational objectives
Lead planning, analysis, coordination and consolidation of annual budget and quarterly reforecast, including detailed cashflow forecasts
Prepare and review financial variances between Actual/Budget/Forecast financial results with Business Owners
Provide information to Executive Leadership by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations in myriad forms including KPI Dashboards, summarized financial reports, and PowerPoint presentations.
Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning
Perform strategic and scenario analysis to determine present and future financial performance
Report on and refine key performance indicators and drive robust analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, while evaluating possible alternatives and recommending appropriate actions
Build analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast operating results
Conduct ad-hoc analysis as necessary in support of key business metrics and objectives


What we’re looking for

5+ years of experience in financial modeling, business analysis, and/or financial planning and analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience in Software/SaaS organization is highly desired
Solid understanding of accounting concepts and core financial statement
Hands-on advanced user skills with business tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and enterprise-wide systems and databases (Adaptive Planning, Intacct, Tableau and experience a plus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive at identifying and remedying issues
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently and to handle multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work independently and complete responsibilities with little supervision, yet work well in team-oriented culture
Ability to work on critical, time sensitive issues and to keep matters confidential is essential
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
Positive, solutions oriented disposition
Experience supporting a diverse employee base in remote and international business environments
