Salary: $49,481.00 – $71,749.00 Annually

Portland’5 Centers for the Arts, a world-class venue rated in the top five in the country, is recruiting for a full-time Admissions Staffing Manager. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, event-driven business, and have experience in managing customer service and public contact staff.
This position supervises, manages, and coordinates the activities of part-time admissions staff who provide customer service interaction with visitors, clients, and promoters during events at Portland’5 and the Oregon Convention Center. Admissions staff number from 120-150 employees; jobs include ushers, gate attendants, checkroom attendants, elevator operators and admissions leads. Admissions Staffing Manager duties include hiring, training, coaching, evaluation and scheduling of part-time admissions staff. Other responsibilities include providing monthly event calendars, event staff rosters and completing cost estimates and event information. Position duties may include acting as house or event manager.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing customer service or public contact staff, an Associate’s degree in business administration, venue or event management, performing arts, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties may be considered.
Additional experience sought include venue and event management experience, supervising and working with members of a labor union and with volunteers and overseeing database for scheduling personnel.
