Salary: $47,097.00 – $68,292.00 annually
The Oregon Convention Center clients range from a non-profit organization having a small board meeting to worldwide televised sports events and everything in-between. You will find opportunities to work with groups that will challenge you to learn and grow no matter what your background is.
This position will promote and sell exclusive Internet, WiFi, VoIP telephone, and Local area networking (LAN) services provided by Oregon Convention Center (OCC) to event promoters and exhibitors and provide customer service to exhibitors and show managers during the event planning process.
The Oregon Convention Center (OCC), a LEED Platinum facility, is the largest convention center in the Pacific Northwest, hosting more than 12 million visitors since its opening in 1990. Annually hosting roughly 500 events with an average of $550 million in economic benefit for the region from the national and international visitors who attend conventions and events at the facility. The industry leader for its sustainability practices, the OCC was the first convention center in the U.S. to earn the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Certification for existing buildings in 2004. It has since earned LEED Silver in 2008 and then LEED Platinum in 2014. Minimum of two (2) years of direct customer service experience and sales, minimum of two (2) years of experience with the technical aspects of computer networking, WiFi, LAN, WAN, Internet, and VoIP technologies, High school diploma or G.E.D. or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.
Current driver’s license and driving record sufficient to be insured by Metro insurance carrier
