The Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center’s mission is to provide high quality, culturally appropriate healthcare to low-income residents of Washington and Yamhill Counties, with a special emphasis on seasonal and migrant farm-workers and others with barriers receiving health-care. With 19 locations throughout Oregon, our goal is to provide integrated care—including primary care, low-cost pharmacy, dental, behavioral and mental health services.

Working at Virginia Garcia means experiencing the fulfillment that comes from providing care to people needing it most.  Every patient has a story, and to be a part of the care they receive is rewarding.

For many patients, Virginia Garcia is the first place they go to receive healthcare after finally gaining access to coverage following years of being uninsured.  For many others, Virginia Garcia is a safe place where they have access to culturally-appropriate care spoken in a language they understand.

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated Medical Assistants to become a part of our mission of helping those in need.  As a Medical Assistant, you will work collaboratively as part of a team to coordinate care and offer a wide variety of services in an effort to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Requirements of the position include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of Medical Assistant training program and certification, and bilingual English and Spanish.

Virginia Garcia has ranked one of the top 100 best nonprofits to work for in the state by Oregon Business Magazine, three years in a row.  We are also an Advocacy Center of Excellence, and the first health center in the state to receive this recognition; demonstrating our commitment to advocating for our patients and the communities we have served for over 40 years.

Competitive benefits and continued education opportunities are offered including health, dental, life, disability, long term and short term insurance,  healthcare and dependent care flexible spending, paid vacation, holiday and sick time and a 403(b) retirement plan.

We hope you consider Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center as the next place in your career!
