Volunteers of America Oregon is looking for a Residential Treatment Supervisor to join our exceptional team at the Men’s Residential Center. The Residential Treatment Supervisor works in partnership with the Program Director and Assistant Director to plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate the MRC’s program implementation, staffing and staff development.
The Residential Treatment Supervisor oversees the MRC’s daily activities and is responsible for the hiring, training and supervising of the Residential Counselor staff, the Recreation Coordinator, the Administrative Coordinator and the Kitchen Manager.
Additionally, the Residential Treatment Supervisor’s duties include oversight of the safety, security, sanitation, and therapeutic milieu of the Men’s Residential Center. This position also serves as a resource on policies and procedures, participates in implementation of program planning, budget development and coordination with funding and grant resources.
Master’s degree in human services preferred or a Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in human services.
CADC I preferred. Required within two years of hire.
Experience working with co-occurring disorders, chemical dependency, criminal justice, men’s social service programming, corrections, and residential treatment is preferred.
An understanding of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care is required.
Experience with budget management, report writing, and funder communication is required.
Computer literacy in MS Office and knowledge and experience with data collection, and electronic health record management.
Two years of management, operations and supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records is required.
Knowledge of ASAM and DSM-5 assessment, individual, group therapy is preferred.
· Current First Aid/CPR certification.
Ability to create a residential therapeutic environment by clinical training and supervision of staff.
Ability to work in and promote a culturally diverse environment.
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the Center.
Supervise and ensure 24-hour staffing of Residential Counselors.
Excellent documentation skills.
Effective communication and crisis management skills.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Individuals in recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction must have maintained continuous sobriety under non-residential, independent living conditions for at least the immediate past two years at the time of hire.
Must be able to pass a DHS criminal history background check.
· Reliable vehicle, an active driver’s license, current insurance, and ability to pass our insurer’s driving standards.
Supervision: This position is responsible for supervising approximately ten to twelve staff.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, and includes on-call availability some evenings and weekends as needed.
