Volunteers of America Oregon is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join our team. This position provides coordination, planning, and scheduling of all maintenance and repairs, grounds, and plant operation issues for multiple sites throughout the metropolitan area operated by Volunteers of America Oregon. Includes oversight of remodeling, signage, and landscaping projects. Position ensures exceptional customer service to all of the agency’s stakeholders. Work schedule will include early morning, evenings and/or weekends, depending on needs and urgencies.
High school diploma or GED required.
Five (5) years of building maintenance experience, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and appliance repair. Equivalent education and experience acceptable.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required.
Prior experience as licensed general contractor preferred.
Experience with project bid procurement, evaluation and recommendation of preferred contractors.
Previous database management experience is preferred.
Knowledge of building codes required.
Background in budget development and accountability.
Experience working with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Experience working within a nonprofit or social services environment is preferred but not required.
Record of good attendance and punctuality.
Advanced carpentry/general contractor skills.
Ability to build and execute a routine maintenance schedule for each facility.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:
An active driver’s license, current insurance, reliable vehicle, and ability to pass our insurer’s driving standards.
General contractor’s license in Oregon or ability to attain within 90 days.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises approximately 3-10 employees and oversees 2 – 10 interns/trainees.
Schedule: This is a full-time position; 40 hours per week; Monday thru Friday. Some weekends or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations.
