“I felt very prepared for my job interview because the Urban League of Portland made sure that we were prepared. They did mock interviews for us several times to make sure that we had it down pat and that we felt comfortable in the interview.”
– Regina Bailey
Regina Bailey, a graduate of the Urban League of Portland’s Youth Employment Summer Program is finishing up a JobCorps program to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and is poised to enter PCC to begin the next stage in her plan to become a Registered Nurse(RN). She plans to enroll in an RN program at PCC, and work as a CNA to support herself while in school.
Regina developed her plan with the help of a staff member of the Urban League of Portland’s Youth Employment Summer Program. That same staff member later drove her to Troutdale (OR) for her JobCorps interview. It was a panel interview with three interviewers, Regina found it intimidating, but thanks to the interview coaching she received in the Urban League of Portland’s Youth Employment Summer Program, she felt prepared.
