The Urban League of Portland has been able to serve, empower, and advocate for Oregonians since 1945 thanks in part to our committed team of community participants and engaged volunteers. You’re receiving this email because you’ve shown an interest in supporting us with your time or services as a volunteer.

The Urban League of Portland’s 21st Annual Career Connections Job Fair will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Doubletree Hotel (by Hilton), near the Lloyd Center (1000 NE Multnomah St, Portland, 97232). We are seeking a few excellent volunteers to support the event and make it a tremendous success. Over 50 employers participated and 500 patrons attended our Career Connections job fair in 2013, and we are expecting an even larger turnout this year.  1) Canvassing and outreach
We need volunteers to post flyers and hand out postcards to help outreach to the community about the upcoming career fair in selected locations of the region including Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro, and all around Portland. 

2) Event preparation
We need help with event preparation, including making gift bags, packing boxes, and readying other supplies. 

3) Event staffing
We need volunteers to greet attendees, register vendors, and help with the catered lunch at the Career Fair.
