The Urban League of Portland conducts comprehensive youth programs that serve to shepherd the youth in our community and empower them to achieve. We foster interactive academic and real-world experiences that help students to develop leadership, life and social skills, self-esteem, and cultural pride. Urban League Youth programs are designed to prepare youth to be successful and encourage them to pursue post secondary education and professional careers. These programs include after school leadership programs for high school and middle school students and annual recreational and educational summer programs for middle school students, high school students, and young adults ages 18-25. Youth program services include listings of college scholarships, job readiness training, employment services, and internship opportunities.
The Urban League will be open for students from 3:30pm-6pm the weeks of August 28th-September 7th (Mon,Tues,Weds – excluding Labor Day holiday).
Free tutoring at our partner site, The Center PDX – 3510 N Vancouver Street, begins Thursday, September 7th.
Workshops and regular ASLP scheduled to start September 11th.
