Find out more about the science and manufacturing component of the program here. Participants are eligible for a performance based stipend of up to $300 upon successful completion of the program. The stipend amount is determined by participant’s demonstration of work readiness skills such as punctuality, decorum, and dedication to assignments.
Highlights of the 2015 Program for Young Adults include:
- Technology and digital literacy training where students are acquainted with emerging technologies and how they apply to the workplace.
- A financial wellness module where students are given a solid foundation in personal finance.
- Job readiness training where youth learn how to: write a resume; fill out a job application; and successfully interview.
- The opportunity to explore career opportunities through field trips to a variety of businesses in multiple industries.
Additionally young adults have the opportunity to volunteer as Camp Counselors at a 4-H Summer Camp. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, develop leadership skills, enjoy the outdoors, and give back to the community.
