The Urban League of Portland is excited to announce our Youth Tobacco Prevention & Education program and encourage you to apply! Our mission is to create Youth Ambassadors that will be active participants in our Tobacco Prevention & Education program as well as positive role models within our community. Urban League will provide 9 weeks of middle and high school leadership and youth development focused on tobacco avoidance and cessation. As a commitment of a Youth Ambassador, you will also to be engaged in our Summer Youth Leadership Academy to help educate youth and discuss tobacco usage and aid our goal of creating a better community with tobacco cessation. We are looking for Black/African American youth ages 11-14 years old that attend these schools: Harriet Tubman Middle School, Faubion Middle School, Da Vinci Arts Middle School, Ockley Green Middle School, Roseway Heights Middle School.
