Urban League of Portland Thanks You!!
We are so grateful to those of you who attended our first in-person Annual Member Meeting of the Urban League of Portland in recent years. Our annual meeting serves as both a celebration of our successes and an opportunity to recommit ourselves to our shared vision that drives us forward. Together, we made significant strides to expand our mission and create a positive impact on the lives of Black communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington.
The Urban League has continued to grow and evolve. We've expanded existing programs such as adding mobile showers and laundry to our street teams as part of our Emergency Services Program. In just six months, we delivered over 1,000 hours of training and programs for Youth and Families within the community. We distributed $120,000 in grants to Black-owned small businesses. Yet, there’s still more work to be done.
You are a large part of our ability to make a difference. If you were unable to join us, it’s not too late. We invite you to renew your membership or donate today. Donors who give $500 or more annually are inducted into our new Whitney M. Young Jr. Giving Society. Your ongoing support is one of the reasons why we are once again the #1 nonprofit in the state.
We appreciate Snell and Wilmer for sharing their lovely space with us. Please be sure to check out the pictures from the event. Again, we thank you.
