We are excited to share that we will be hosting a series of Reclaim Your Vote events in person and virtually for the 2024 election. Reclaim Your Vote is a campaign that the National Urban League initiated. The Reclaim Your Vote campaign is a national effort to promote voter registration, voter education, and voter activation with the power of the Urban League Affiliate and Volunteer movement and our strategic partners. As an Urban League Affiliate, the Urban League of Portland is participating in this campaign. Our goal is to increase voter engagement, knowledge, and registration through collaboration with our partners. The Urban League of Portland works to protect the right to vote for all Americans regardless of their racial, gender, ethnic, or socioeconomic background.
Starting January 2024 until November 2024, we will be hosting one virtual event and one to two in person events per month to help Oregon voters to reclaim their vote. During these events, we will share information about voter registration, maintaining current voter registration (update your personal information and political party), and the City of Portland’s New Electoral System – Rank Choice Voting. The City of Portland’s New Electoral System – Rank Choice Voting change only applies to residents in the City of Portland and goes into effect for the 2024 November Election. Portland voters will not receive a ballot for the Spring 2024 primary election. We invite you to join us at one of our events to learn more about voting in 2024 and to Reclaim Your Vote.
